As good as Christmas for the workers at the Florida restaurant when a diner left at $10,000 tip for them, causing a frenzy last Tuesday night.
The man, his wife and son finished their dinner at the Wahoo Seafood Grill, the Gainesville Sun reported, then left the tip for the workers to share.
Suspicious Shawn Shepherd, who owns Wahoo, told the newspaper he got a call from his employees alerting him to the big tip which was left in the cash register until the next day for him to find it.
“Watching these guys get their check was almost as good as Christmas morning,” Shepherd told the Sun.
