Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said, he took into account the time the suspect, known as Shalom Avitan, 38, entered the country during Ramadan. He adds that Malaysia was probably lucky that its police force is good and caught the guy in time, for no one knows if he could have planned an attack during the upcoming Hari Raya.

Avitan and Raya
“If (maybe) during Hari Raya he wants to cause chaos, if not arrested, Hari Raya will be ‘havoc’, won’t it mess us up? That’s what I saw with (the impact of) six firearms,” says the police chief. With Avitan allegedly possessing six firearms and 200 rounds of ammunition, authorities are intensifying investigations to uncover the true intentions behind his presence in the country. Police says they do not really agree with foreign media (Israel media) that the man came to assassinate a fellow Israeli in KL.
