BUTTERWORTH, July 25 – Deputy Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan urged critics not to belittle the RM100 cash aid under the Basic Rahmah Contribution (SARA) programme, saying it shows the government’s concern for the poor. “If he is a rich man, T20, he would indeed look down on RM100, but does he know how many in the B40 need it?” he said. Ramanan added that critics should show empathy, noting RM100 can buy essential food for families. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recently announced the RM100 one-off aid alongside toll hike delays and fuel subsidy adjustments.
