SHAH ALAM – Former Principal Private Secretary to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Datuk Dr Marzuki Mohamad, has revealed that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) bore the entire cost of Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) election campaign during the 15th General Election (GE15). He explained that the minimum cost for a parliamentary seat could reach RM1 million, while PAS faced little difficulty as it contested under the PN logo and received both financial contributions and campaign equipment from Bersatu.

Marzuki stressed that this support contributed to PAS winning 43 parliamentary seats – the party’s biggest achievement in its 70-year history. He also agreed with the cost estimates previously highlighted by PAS Election Director, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor, while emphasising that all parties face substantial expenses, including campaign material printing, training of machinery, logistics, and allowances for PACA agents to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
