A food delivery rider’s late-night act of kindness is touching hearts online. Mohd Zaenuddin Jupri, 33, shared the story on TikTok.
He was heading home after work at about 1am when he spotted a man pushing a motorcycle along the roadside. He stopped to ask and learned the bike had run out of fuel. Without saying much, he towed it to a petrol station.
A Father Was Too Shy to Ask for RM6. Then a Stranger Stopped
His habit, he said, is to ask whether the person has money to fill up. The man stayed silent, and Zaenuddin understood immediately. He handed over RM5 for fuel. The man hesitated at first, but accepted after Zaenuddin pointed out the danger of pushing the bike further.
After refuelling, the man seemed to want to say something. He finally asked: “Bang, saya nak cakap segan tapi kena juga untuk anak-anak, boleh pinjam RM6 tak bang?” The money was for his child’s school expenses the next day, as he had been looking for “job cash” since the afternoon without luck.
His eyes were already welling with tears, Zaenuddin recalled, and he felt deeply moved. He patted the man’s back and told him to stay strong.
He then gave him all the tips he had earned that day. The man accepted only after being persuaded, with tears on his cheeks, thanking him repeatedly.
