Brentford’s attempt to secure Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson has been met with a rejection of their club-record bid, exceeding £35 million. The Bees have been monitoring Johnson’s progress for over two years, and their head coach, Thomas Frank, is eager to add the Wales international to their squad.
Brentford’s pursuit of Brennan Johnson
While Forest values Johnson at approximately £50 million, Brentford is not willing to go above their offer, which, with add-ons, would have amounted to around £40 million. As for goalkeeper David Raya, there are ongoing discussions about a potential move to Bayern Munich, with Brentford demanding approximately £40 million for his transfer.
Forest, on the other hand, are in talks with Manchester United over a deal for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, aiming for a second loan with an obligation to buy after a certain number of appearances. United prefers a low number to trigger the transfer fee to comply with financial fair play regulations.
