BN’s Bung Moktar Radin has raised alarm in Parliament over rising bullying in boarding schools following the death of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir. Citing parental fears, he called on the Education Ministry to act decisively to prevent further tragedies. Zara, a student at a religious school in Papar, Sabah, was found unconscious in a drain and later died in hospital. Her mother’s lawyers demand a body exhumation and an inquest, citing flaws in the investigation. The Attorney-General’s Chambers is reviewing the case, while Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek assured a fair and transparent investigation is underway.
