Businessman jailed 12 months for faking COVID travel cert

A Yemeni businessman got caught in his attempt to travel with a fake COVID-19 certificate and he received a 12 months jail sentence, news reports say from Bahrain.

The Gulf Daily News says the businessman was trying to travel to Saudi Arabia.

The 39-year-old would have forged the certificate by changing a previous PCR test date from April 14 this year to June 3.
