Charged For Stealing RM40 At A Masjid

A woman was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here today on charges of stealing funds at the Padang Pauh Mosque, Padang Besar, last Saturday.

Utusan says the accused, 28, pleaded not guilty after the charges against him were read out in front of Magistrate Kamaliza Md. Zain.

The accused, who works as a cleaner and has a four-year-old son, pleaded not guilty as she claimed to have only taken RM28 worth of money instead of RM40.

She settled bail of RM2,000 with one surety.
