Chef Ammar, who made headlines the other day with the pricing of his Nasi Arab where netizens were defending him for his prices recently made a tiktok. The tiktok stated that he is closing down his stall in USJ14 due to ‘sihir’.
Apparently this is a common practice in this region where if someone is jealous of another’s success, they tend to turn to their ‘bomoh’ which is a witch doctor. The chef has been experiencing a drop in customers and when he contacted his ustaz, a religious preacher, the ustaz said that someone sent a black magic spell to his stall.
Netizens expressed support for the chef and some even mentioned that their small businesses also received black magic from their jealous competitors. They further mentioned that people should stop doing these illegal and unethical practices when they see someone succeeding in life.
