Couple Leads Police on 96km High-Speed Chase Across Johor

A Malaysian couple was arrested after leading police on a 96km high-speed chase through Johor early this morning (May 7). The 36-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, driving a blue Proton Wira, refused to stop when flagged down by a police patrol unit on the Pasir Gudang expressway. 

Couple Leads Police on 96km High-Speed Chase Across Johor

The chase lasted 1 hour and 22 minutes, involving 14 police MPVs across multiple districts. The suspects were eventually stopped near Tanjung Langsat. Both tested positive for methamphetamine and were found with 0.45g of the drug. The driver lacked a valid license, and the vehicle’s road tax and insurance were expired. They face multiple charges under traffic and drug laws.
