1 min read

On June 10, 2025, the Court of Appeal in Kuala Lumpur will address Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s request to stay a 2021 sexual assault lawsuit filed by his former research officer, Muhammed Yusoff Rawther. Anwar’s lawyer, Datuk Seri Rajasegaran Krishnan, confirmed the interim hearing date, with the full stay application set for July 21, ahead of the civil trial on June 16 before High Court judge Roz Mawar Rozain. Separately, on September 2, case management is scheduled for Anwar’s appeal against Roz Mawar’s rejection of his bid to refer eight constitutional questions on immunity to the Federal Court, deemed speculative.
