Pahang Bersatu chief Abdul Khalib Abdullah criticized DAP’s mediation role in the Raub illegal durian farming dispute, urging respect for Sultan Abdullah’s decree to resolve the land encroachment issue. Khalib condemned Raub DAP MP Chow Yu Hui’s protest involvement, calling it unacceptable. He also questioned a Pahang Umno leader’s claim that Chow acted personally, not for DAP, finding it perplexing from an Umno figure. The conflict stems from the April 8 demolition of illegally planted Musang King durian trees in Sungai Klau, sparking protests. Chow and activist Wilson Chang were arrested April 14 for obstructing officials but were later released.
