DENGKIL, April 11, 2025 — A land dispute in Dengkil, Selangor, involving two temples illegally built on a site gazetted for a mosque has been amicably settled. Following discussions between the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) and the Indian community, those responsible for the Hindu and Chinese temples agreed to vacate and clear the area. Jais confirmed the 2012-gazetted land remains designated for the mosque, with construction to start soon. No compensation was claimed. The village head Al Rasyid Ab Rani urged Jais to fence the site to prevent future encroachments.
