In a groundbreaking move, Johor, Malaysia, plans to establish a rehabilitation center in 2024 to address individuals deemed deviant from Islamic teachings, including those convicted of same-sex relations by the Syariah Court. With an allocated RM400,000, the center aims to assist individuals in purifying their faith and returning to the right path.
