The recent Dior scandal reported by Reuters in lieu of their sub-contracted factories allegedly making these designer bags in harsh conditions. Some reports state that these bags only cost RM253 to produce. However, previously, this was discussed among fashion lovers rather than the masses.
X uses calling Dior customers “foolish”
Following that, X users state that there will always be someone “foolish” enough buying these bags, and what is the point of others worrying about it. The best way for someone to not be associated with said brand is to not purchase any of their items.
There are debates in the comments section citing that these bags are mere cash grabs by luxury brands. But, those who are defending the brand state that a lot of cost is used to pay their staff and rent/buy their locations.
