Education Ministry Enforces Strict Dress Code, Social Media Rules for Teachers

PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry has introduced a new circular outlining a strict dress code and social media guidelines for teachers. Issued on May 30, it mandates decent, non-revealing attire to uphold the teaching profession’s integrity. Teachers are also barred from posting provocative, fake, or sensitive content, including 3R issues (royalty, religion, race) and politics, to protect the reputation of educational institutions and avoid internal conflicts.
