Lim Guan Eng has vacated his post as the secretary-general of the DAP and his father, Lim Kit Siang has retired from politics. This is very big news in Malaysia’s politics that came during the DAP’s 17th national congress in Shah Alam.

“This will be my final speech as secretary-general and I am grateful for all the support the party has given to me,” said LGE during the congress, adding that DAP is transformed from aspiring to the biggest opposition party, to the party aiming to form the next government.
