Family of Nine Receives Identity Documents After Years of Hardship

1 min read

After years of living without official identification, a Malaysian family of nine has finally received their MyKad and birth certificates. The documents were presented by Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail during the Mekar Programme. For 32-year-old single mother Nor Fauziah Muhamad and her family, the lack of documentation previously meant restricted access to formal education, healthcare, and government aid like the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah.

Now residing in Besut and earning a modest living selling dried goods, Nor Fauziah plans to use this newfound status to secure skills training and a better future for her four children.
