Several Members of Parliament (MPs) from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia are reportedly considering defection, with an estimated nine to ten MPs from the party expected to pledge support for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The potential defectors are said to come from Kedah, Perak, and Terengganu.

Following Bukit Gantang MP Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal’s earlier declaration of support for Anwar, a total of five Bersatu lawmakers have now pledged allegiance to the Unity Government. Sources suggest that efforts are underway to persuade more Bersatu MPs to join, with additional crossovers anticipated in due course.
