Here are the five men who could claim the PM post in Malaysia after Nov 19 and they include Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who leads the Umno-BN coalition which was in power before the dissolution of the Parliament. However, Anwar Ibrahim and Ismail Sabri Yaakob remain the top contenders.
A very strong contender is now Anwar Ibrahim, the PH leader who says his party may win the elections on Nov 19 while Ismail Sabri Yaakob could still garner enough support to remain as PM if the BN wins but he will have to become the follower of the big boys in the Umno, says analyst.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is playing the Malay card and hopes he could get the support of the PAS-PN in the event of a hung parliament where no one has a majority like in the previous parliamentary seating.
After Nov 19 and PN
Last is TS Muhyiddin Yassin who says the PN has won the elections and has refused to work with Tun Mahathir for example due to his confidence PN will form the next government after Nov 19.
