Former Sports Minister Criticised for Gula-Gula Now

1 min read

Former sports minister Syed Sadiqq is taking a beating online, with Twitter users harping at him for his attacks against the PH-BN government. He is criticising the government for giving e-tunai to 10 million citizens. He says it is vote buying.

But netizens have kept all the records where Sadiqq made similar promises to voters in various by-elections during his tenure as sports minister. Syed is yet to reply to these attacks, seemingly ignoring them. But netizens are not going empty-handed in their attacks against him.

Double language Sports Minister?

“Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, meanwhile, announced an allocation of RM4 million to upgrade sports and recreational facilities in Tanjung Piai. He said the allocation was part of a personal request by the late MP Dr Md Farid Md Rafik. Vote-buying is wrong, and justifying it by invoking the dead is crossing the line,” a screenshot (see below) of an article against the then minister says.
