France’s New Proposed 90% Tax for Income Above RM2,000,000 UNPOPULAR

The new French coalition has proposed that those making more than RM2,000,000 (€400,000) should be taxed at a whopping 90%. However, X users find this ultra disturbing as individuals are now possibly required to pay for almost everything they make.

Furthermore, X users state that if someone is trying to “rob” another person, why stop halfway and just tax them at 100% instead. The amount that will possibly be taxed by the government for a relatively smaller amount of money appears to be unpopular among most social media users. 

There are those who defend the move citing that most of France is not making as much. The proposal is to quite literally tax the 1% of the country.
