Gal Gadot, the ever so famous Israeli actress, is somewhat having mixed reviews among Malaysians. This is due to the complex history of Israel and Palestine and the fact that many Malaysians are Muslims. Regardless, the actress recently appeared for the luxury jewelry brand Tiffanys and made an error while cutting the ribbon.
Malaysians calling Gal Gadot “rude” for not respecting Tiffanys
It seems that it is quite taboo to kick the ribbon of the brand that is literally sponsoring you to be there. Furthermore, it seems that Malaysians are taking that seriously. The netizen adds that she could simply pass the ribbon to a member of staff.
Another netizen defended Gal Gadot’s actions by stating that there was no other option for her other than to throw the ribbon away. Others are calling this netizen a “pick me Yahudi,” whatever that means.
Another user asked if she had any relations with Sungai Gadut, the town that is located in Seremban. Others laughed at this remark as the actress’ name does sound and has a similar spelling to the river.
