Gerakan has issued an apology to the entire nation after one of its grassroots leaders made disparaging and stupid remarks about civil servants.
MINTA MAAF
Gerakan’s secretary-general, Mah Kah Keong, expressed disagreement with the comments made by Penang Gerakan spokesperson Mok Kok On, emphasizing that civil servants are the backbone of the country and not a burden as claimed. “Civil servants are a burden to the country. Additionally, our foreign debts are mounting while our reserves are dwindling. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s government must view this fact with clarity,” wrote Mok.
GERAKAN GRASSROOTS
The party, including PAS and Bersatu, distanced themselves from Mok’s statement, which has since been deleted from Facebook. Mah offered apologies to all Malaysians, particularly civil servants, recognizing their crucial role in providing essential services and maintaining societal functions. The party’s disciplinary board will address the matter with Mok.
