PN and Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has denied rumours of a plot to remove Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the opposition coalition’s leader. In an interview with Mingguan Malaysia, Hamzah dismissed the speculation as “baseless gossip” from outsiders aiming to divide Perikatan Nasional. He insisted he has a close relationship with Muhyiddin and no succession discussions have taken place. Calling it foolish for anyone to plan a leadership change without consulting him, Hamzah said such rumours only prove PN’s growing influence. He emphasised that those spreading the gossip are not party members, and PN remains united.
