Grab Malaysia has issued a public apology after a video went viral showing a female passenger allegedly being sexually harassed by an e-hailing driver in Johor. The footage captures the driver reaching back to touch the woman, who pushes his hand away, while he speaks in Mandarin and makes inappropriate remarks.
Grab Apologises
In an Instagram statement, Grab expressed being “deeply sorry,” called the incident unacceptable, and confirmed it is actively contacting the passenger to investigate and offer support. The company stressed that such behaviour violates its policies and promised appropriate action. Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat said officers are identifying the driver, though no police report has been filed yet.
