KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — The Sessions Court has approved DAP adviser Lim Guan Eng’s application for the permanent return of his international passport, previously surrendered as part of bail conditions in the Penang undersea tunnel corruption case.

Judge Azura Alwi granted the request after considering valid reasons and Lim’s responsibilities as honorary chairman of the Asian Coalition for Asian Political and Institutional Capacity Development (ACAPICD). Lim’s RM1 million bail and other conditions remain unchanged, though he must report monthly to the MACC in Penang. Lim faces charges involving alleged bribes linked to a RM6.3 billion infrastructure project.
