KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin has been summoned for the second time by the party’s disciplinary board over allegations of misconduct against president Muhyiddin Yassin.
Hamzah and Alleged Sabotage
According to a leaked notice, four complaints were lodged, including claims Hamzah conspired to collect statutory declarations to undermine Muhyiddin’s succession plan, sabotaged the 2025 annual general assembly, and blocked a motion to retain Muhyiddin as party president and prime ministerial candidate. The board, chaired by Radzi Manan, also cited Hamzah’s public remarks as tarnishing the party’s image. Investigations continue as Bersatu grapples with internal tensions.
