A tragic explosion at HELP University’s cafeteria in Bukit Damansara killed one person and injured nine others earlier today. The victim, a 24‑year‑old contractor, succumbed to his injuries at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Among those hurt were four students, a technician, two canteen workers, and two contractors who remain in serious condition. The blast occurred around 11:45 a.m., with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) suspected as the cause, though investigations are ongoing. 

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department confirmed the incident and dispatched personnel to the scene. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause while ensuring campus safety.
