1 min read

In a harrowing tale of survival, a 63-year-old homeless man has been rescued after spending two days trapped at the bottom of a five-meter-deep well in Jalan Telok Air Tawar. The victim, who had gone to the site to bathe, accidentally fell into the structure, where he remained stranded until his plight was finally discovered on Saturday evening.

Homeless Man Rescued

By the time emergency responders from the Penang Fire and Rescue Department arrived at the scene at approximately 5:29 PM, quick-thinking members of the public had already managed to pull the man to safety. Despite the ordeal, the victim survived with only minor injuries, largely because the water level reached only to his chest. He was provided with initial treatment at the scene before being transported to Seberang Jaya Hospital for further medical observation and recovery.
