Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has indicated plans to rejoin United Malays National Organisation through the ‘Rumah Bangsa’ initiative, four years after being expelled. He revealed preparations are underway to submit a formal application during the Keluar Sekejap podcast.
Khairy Signals Return to Umno
The programme, introduced by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, allows former members who were expelled or suspended to seek reinstatement, with the process overseen by a committee chaired by Mohamed Khaled Nordin. Meanwhile, former Umno Supreme Council member Isham Jalil rejected the initiative, citing Umno’s continued cooperation with Democratic Action Party under the current government.
