A viral video sparked controversial reactions among netizens on social media after an Indonesian woman claims to not have heard a single azan while in Malaysia. Netizens state that there are places in Indonesia, namely Bali, where the Islamic calls for prayer are not heard as well.

The woman claims to not have seen even a single Masjid in the area she is at. She then adds that there are places in our country where minorities are more prominent. Most Malaysians agree that this shouldn’t be an issue as we are a multicultural and multiracial country.
Additionally, Malaysians are tired of having tourists coming here and critiquing every single aspect of our country. Many find it disrespectful as when someone visits the country, they should understand the culture and modus operandi of the locals there.
