Hilir Perak police have received three reports against political influencer Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, known as Ratu Naga, for claiming a Teluk Intan school sang Negaraku in a non-Malay language. The accusation, tied to a June 6, 2024, video of children singing the Perak state anthem, sparked outrage. District police chief ACP Bakri Zainal Abidin said the claim was false, violating the National Anthem Act 1968. Syarul apologized on TikTok, admitting she deleted the video after 10 minutes, blaming PH “cyber troopers” for its viral spread. Investigations continue as Perak Exco Woo Kah Leong denounced the misinformation.
