KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional MPs are urging the Health Ministry to investigate allegations that a private hospital stored a baby’s body in a freezer for over two weeks. Muhammad Adham Mikail, born with severe abnormalities, passed away shortly after birth on November 24. His father, unable to afford the RM3,600 hospital bill, delayed settling the amount, preventing the baby’s burial. Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal called for disciplinary action against the hospital, citing religious obligations for timely burials. Kuala Langat MP Ahmad Yunus Hairi suggested involving agencies like Lembaga Zakat Selangor to assist struggling families and highlighted rising healthcare costs.
