Three former GIC venture capitalists — Jeremy Kranz, Ethel Chen, and Karan Sharma — have reunited to launch Sentinel Global, a lean, senior-led VC firm focused on AI, infrastructure, and global commerce.
AI Reshaping Venture Capitals
With past wins like DoorDash, Uber, and Zoom, they’re betting the next wave of billion-dollar startups won’t be confined to Silicon Valley. Advances in AI mean companies can scale faster with less funding and fewer employees.
Sentinel writes $5M–$30M checks and targets founders outside California. “Efficiency is the new edge,” says Kranz, who believes emerging markets will lead the charge in building smarter, leaner tech companies.
