The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched an investigation into the lorry company involved in the fatal Teluk Intan crash that claimed the lives of nine Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel. JPJ senior director Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan said the probe is being conducted under Section 57 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010.

The lorry, which collided with a truck carrying 18 FRU members on May 12, was allegedly carrying stones despite being licensed to transport coal. The investigation paper will be completed by month-end for submission to the Deputy Public Prosecutor. Further action will follow based on the findings.
