The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has removed the requirement to show proof of overseas travel in order to obtain a physical driving licence card (LMM), simplifying the application process for applicants starting January 23, 2026.
JPJ: No More Travel Proof Needed For Driver’s License
Previously, applicants were asked to provide travel documentation as part of licensing requirements, but the change is expected to speed up procedures and reduce administrative hurdles for Malaysians.
The revised process aims to improve public service efficiency and align licensing rules with the evolving needs of drivers and commuters nationwide.
