In a cabinet reshuffle, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has one deputy minister from the Madani administration. Deputy Minister K. Saraswathy, a former PKR vice-president who lost in the party’s June elections, has been replaced by Segamat MP R. Yuneswaran, a newly elected member of the PKR Central Leadership Council.

Additionally, R. Ramanan, who won in the PKR elections earlier this year and was previously Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, has been promoted to full Human Resources Minister.
The changes reflect ongoing adjustments within the unity government following internal party developments in PKR.
