The Kuala Lumpur Tower will be illuminated in blue and gold until Friday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Rukun Tetangga (KRT) programme.

National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang praised KRT’s role in fostering harmony among Malaysia’s diverse communities, strengthening grassroots unity, and enhancing local economies. Tower operator LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd described the lighting as a tribute to KRT’s legacy.
CEO Khairil Faizal Othman reaffirmed the landmark’s commitment to unity-driven initiatives. Today, 8,586 KRT units operate nationwide across eight focus areas, including safety, leadership, and cultural heritage, continuing their mission of neighbourly cooperation.
