KUALA LUMPUR, March 13, 2025 – Seputeh MP Teresa Kok fears her re-election bid for the DAP Central Executive Committee on March 16 may falter due to an MACC investigation into her former aides. The probe, linked to alleged corruption over inflated smart board purchases using her constituency funds, has sparked discontent among DAP members. Kok, who terminated the aides last year after uncovering misconduct, told Malaysiakini that loyal delegates might reject her, swayed by criticism from party branches. Despite denying influence over the MACC, Kok sees the scandal as a critical test for her standing.
