In the French parliamentary elections, the left-wing Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP) alliance won the most seats, securing 182 out of 577. President Emmanuel Macron’s coalition, Ensemble, took 168 seats, and the far-right Rassemblement National (RN) and allies gained 143 seats.

The conservative Les Républicains, who did not join the RN, won 45 seats. This resulted in a hung parliament with no clear majority. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of the radical left La France Insoumise, called for the NFP to govern, emphasizing the rejection of the far-right by voters.
