Thirteen commercial lorry drivers were arrested for testing positive for drugs during random checks conducted by the Johor police. The checks were carried out at various locations across the state, resulting in the inspection of 730 vehicles. In addition to the drug-related arrests, two others were apprehended for being wanted by the police for criminal and traffic offences.

The arrests highlight concerns about public safety and the need for stricter enforcement to ensure road safety. Those arrested, aged 22 to 48 years old, were detained under Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and numerous traffic summonses were issued for various offences.
