Former PM of Malaysia and now MP of Langkawi Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has urged the authorities to make testing for COVID-19 mandatory at all entry points in Langkawi.

“Langkawi is opening up for tourists. But I think mandatory testing on arrival at entry points is still necessary as a precautionary measure,” he wrote on Twitter.

He was replying to tourism minister Nancy Shukri who said it is not mandatory to test visitors to Langkawi.
