No elections before Aug 2022

1 min read

Malaysia will not have general elections before Aug 2022 and this is based on the truce signed between the political parties in Pakatan Harapan and the government headed by Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The historic deal signed last week allows the government to function without being challenged on every single move it makes by the opposition.

However, the opposition is granted a margin of cooperation with the government while the PM and his ministers are taking inputs from opposition parties into consideration.
