SINGAPORE — A 44-year-old Indonesian maid has been sentenced to six months’ jail after she exposed her 92-year-old employer’s “ding dong” to her boyfriend during a WhatsApp video call. The victim, bedridden and suffering from a brain condition, needed help with daily activities when the incident occurred in July 2024.
Maid Jailed for callous acts
While cleaning him, the maid tilted her camera and pointed out his backside, smiling as her boyfriend watched. The act was uncovered when the victim’s family reviewed CCTV footage. Prosecutors called her behaviour “callous and insensitive,” noting the victim’s vulnerability. In court, the maid pleaded for leniency, saying she was a single mother of two. She could have faced up to two years in jail, but received six months.
