KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia continued their unbeaten run in the Asian Cup qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Laos in Group F on Thursday in Vientiane. Despite dominating possession, Harimau Malaya struggled for fluency without seven naturalised players sidelined by FIFA’s 12-month ban.

Arif Aiman Hanapi opened the scoring in the 53rd minute before captain Dion Cools added a second in the 68th, though poor broadcast quality left the goal unclear. Faisal Halim sealed victory with a late strike eight minutes into added time. The result keeps Malaysia top of Group F with nine points from three matches, following earlier wins over Nepal and Vietnam. Malaysia next host Laos at Bukit Jalil on Tuesday.
