Malaysia Denies Boeing Deal Linked to Trump Favoritism
Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim clarified that the deal, involving 18 B737 MAX 8 and 12 B737 MAX 10 aircraft, was a long-term procurement process for Malaysia Airlines, agreed upon by all relevant parties.
He dismissed opposition allegations as baseless political attacks. The planes, set for delivery in 2029, will replace the ageing B737-800 fleet. Kamil emphasized the purchase aligns with established policies and aims to modernize Malaysia Airlines’ operations.
