Malaysia to be a High Income, Developed Nation by 2028? 

There are discussions on social media that a couple of countries are to be first world nations soon. However, most speculate that Malaysia is the closest one to receive the title as wages are increasing. 

For some, the infrastructure and systems available in the country are efficient and would be able to be labeled as a first world country. 

Malaysia to be a High Income Country Soon? 

Malaysia has the best near-term chance. Its GNI per capita is already ~$12.4k and steady 4-5% growth plus electronics/AI momentum put high-income status (threshold ~$14.4k) within reach by 2028-30.

Thailand is least likely soon. At ~$7.7k with only ~2% growth, aging demographics…

Currently, netizens hope that our country will be able to reach this goal, as despite the criticisms towards the current administration, they have taken several right steps for us to reach the developed status.
