The victims were lured with fake job offers and are now allegedly tortured, starved, and forced into labor. Malaysian International Humanitarian Organisation secretary-general Hishamuddin Hashim handed a plea letter to the embassy, calling for urgent intervention. He cited past Thai rescue efforts for foreign victims and appealed for similar action. The families, desperate for their loved ones’ safety, emphasized that their gathering was a plea, not a protest.
